Dhiyafat and Fuwallat Al Eid
A combination of the Islamic etiquette of sharing and renowned Arabian hospitality, Fuwallat-Al-Eid is centered on welcoming guests on the day of Eid-Al-Fitr. Although the term is used to generally mean ‘a platter of sweets and dishes’ to welcome guests at home on Eid, the concept encompasses the spirit of giving and sharing in the society as a whole. It is this spirit that DEPE highlights during ‘Eid in Dubai’. Dhiyafat Al Eid means welcoming guests with coffee, dates, and sweets.

Visitors to select malls will be welcomed with coffee and dates and sweets will also be distributed across select Eid prayer areas, mosques, and shopping malls. ‘Eid in Dubai’ – Eid Al Fitr 2011 is sponsored by MasterCard Middle East. DEPE’s strategic partners for festivals in 2011 are also actively involved in ‘Eid in Dubai’. They are A.W. Rostamani Group, AL Futtaim Group – Dubai Festival City, AL Ghurair Centre, AL Zarooni Group – Mercato, Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Outlet Mall, Dubai World Trade Centre, Emaar Malls Group, Emirates Airline, Etisalat, Majid Al Futtaim Properties, and The Dubai Mall.
